Positions Available

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

Part time or full time position

Compensation is based off experience and skills

Duties include:

  • Induce and maintain general anesthesia in patients

  • Calculate and administer medications to patients

  • Prepare patients for various anesthetic and surgical procedures

  • Obtain various sample types including, but not limited to:

    • Venous blood​

    • Urine

    • Cytological samples

  • Process in-house lab work

  • Perform and assist in diagnostic imaging modalities including

    • Radiography​

    • Ultrasonography

    • Echocardiography

  • Perform dental prophylaxis

  • Place intravenous catheters

  • Gather patient history and relay to medical charts

  • Fill prescriptions

  • General veterinary nursing care

  • General maintenance of equipment within the hospital (i.e. anesthesia machines, autoclave, laboratory equipment, etc.)

  • Exhibit a strong capability of client education

  • Assist the doctor with orthopedic and laparoscopic surgical procedures

  • Administer vaccines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Washington State Veterinary Technician license (LVT)

  • Non-licensed Veterinary Technicians who have graduated from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program, must be able to obtain licensure within one year upon hire

  • Displays competency in the general knowledge and nursing skills required to care for veterinary patients

  • Effective client communication skills

  • Able to perform moderate physically demanding work

    • Lifting up to 40 pounds​

    • Cleaning

    • Constant motion

Receptionist

Part time or full time position

Compensation is based off experience and skills

Duties include:

  • Welcoming clients and patients to the hospital

  • Answering phone calls

    • Take accurate and detailed notes for the doctor and/or technician​

  • Processing payments

  • Scheduling appointments and procedures

  • Processing and importing paperwork for medical records

  • Creating invoices and estimates for appointments and procedures

  • Filling prescriptions as directed by the doctor

    • *Requires Veterinary Medication Clerk certificate​

  • Keeping the lobby clean and assisting with preparing rooms for exams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a veterinary hospital setting preferred, but not required

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and/or experience 

  • Strong communication skills

  • Take detailed and thorough notes

  • Capable of multi-tasking

  • Be a team player

  • Be a self-starter

Veterinary Assistant

Part time or full time position

Compensation is based off experience and skills

Duties include:

  • Process various sample types including, but not limited to:

    • Venous blood​

    • Urine

    • Cytological

  • Assist in diagnostic imaging modalities including:

    • Radiography​

    • Ultrasonography

    • Echocardiography

  • Prepare patients for various anesthetic and surgical procedures

  • Gather patient history and relay to medical charts

  • Maintain a clean work environment throughout the hospital

  • Take temperatures, samples, vitals, draw up vaccines, administer flea/tick preventatives and medications as requested by doctor

  • Assist the doctor and LVT with procedures and treatments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiar with handling of various types of veterinary patient species, particularly canine and feline

  • Prior experience in a veterinary hospital setting preferred, but not required

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and/or experience 

  • Strong communication skills

  • Capable of multi-tasking

  • Be a team player

  • Be a self-starter

  • Able to perform moderate physically demanding work

    • Lifting up to 40 pounds​

    • Cleaning

    • Constant motion

Kennel Staff

Part time position

Compensation is based off experience and skills

Duties include:

  • Cleaning kennels and runs once patients are discharged

  • Keep laundry going

  • Cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms and lobby between appointments

  • Assist Veterinary Assistants, Veterinary Technicians and the Doctor with tasks, as needed

  • Cleaning surgery instruments, equipment and tables after procedures

  • Restocking as needed

  • Feeding the hospital cats

  • Cleaning the hospital after procedures and scheduled appointments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiar with handling of various types of veterinary patient species, particularly canine and feline

  • Strong communication skills

  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing

  • Be a team player

  • Be a self-starter

  • Able to perform moderate physically demanding work

    • Lifting up to 40 pounds​

    • Cleaning

    • Constant motion
